M'aaro Tia is the current name of a Kitsune who is presently attempting to blend in among a tribe of miqo'te. Exiled from his own society for his unpredictably destructive tendencies, he means well but simply lacks self-control to any effective or reliable degree. His guise is far from perfect, but just convincing enough that people don't often openly question it. His fancies change with the wind, so who knows how long he will continue to take this form?
Orilaux is a young Ishgardian noble, content to look out for himself first and foremost. Don't let his gentle looks deceive you, he is more than willing to manipulate others to his benefit, or exercise more direct forms of power or control over people if he has them. His primary concern is simply preventing his own boredom, which causes his focus and fancies to change frequently. Be wary if he ever sets his sights on you.
Once a conjurer among the Twin Adders, Cheri Beri tired of the bloodshed and the fighting. He fled to a dense, more isolated corner of the Shroud and now lives there alone, tending to a vast and impressive garden of his own in order to sustain his isolated life. Ever the generous soul, he avoids people only for fear of facing consequences for his desertion and would otherwise love to spend time among them, sharing his harvest and putting his healing abilities to better use than war.
T'kirah Nunh and T'rahsa Tia are twins who had always been close, up until the moment the previous Nunh unexpectedly perished. They fought over the title, then through a series of miscommunications and misinterpretations afterwards their relationship has become strained and tense. T'kirah attempts to remain their strong, stoic leader while T'rahsa continues to try to prove himself equal to his brother. Tension still remains...though it isn't something a long, honest heart-to-heart wouldn't fix. If only either of them knew that, or were willing to speak plainly in the first place.
Abandoned in the Steppe upon his birth, Dayir has never known either of his parents. Presumably his mother was a Hingan woman and his father one of the Xaela of the Steppe, but no one has ever come forth to claim him as their own. As such Dayir was originally taken in by the Kahkol tribe, then upon their downfall was absorbed into the Buduga. Which name he uses depends on who is asking.Ever self-conscious of how different he has always looked and acted from his peers, Dayir is never seen without his 'horns'. He takes especially good care of the scales he does have, careful never to let them scar. Despite this special attention, one day he hopes to venture away from the Steppe to see the world...and, perhaps, to find his mother.
Oskar is a drifter, a wandering Bard who is known to accept nearly any form of payment for his services, whether said service comes in the form of combat, performance, or something more intimate _ provided it's generous enough payment.Secretly, Oskar is living on borrowed time. Dynamis sustains his existence as his aether grows thinner by the day, seeing as he has been cursed by a voidsent. So long as he is able to feast upon other's feelings he will continue to be fine, but what those feelings are matters to him just as much, for he is forced to feel them too. It is why he prefers the life of a performer and a people-pleaser. Absorbing those positive emotions from others allows him to stay positive as well.
Olivier grew up just another street rat in Ul'dah. It was a profoundly lonely way to live, one which saw him get used and discarded by many other people along the way. Were it not for an inherent affinity for aetherial manipulation, he would have remained that way. Instead he was taken in by the Thaumaturges Guild for a time.
He learned quickly, but also felt a constant nagging in his mind. That these people wanted to use him as well, that if he were not gifted as he was they would not have given him another glance.
So he fled the guild as well, out into the wild of Thanalan with forbidden tomes in hand. If no one wanted him around, wanted simply to be his friend, then here he would put his new knowledge to work creating friends for himself. In an isolated crypt, Olivier has practiced necromancy for nearly a year now.
Still, the man remains lonely. He has countless undead servants to bend to his whim and to occupy his time, but none that he may call equal. None that he may call friend.
Z'kano has long dreamed of life outside his tribe, and he's only just found a chance to chase it. Bubbly and perhaps a bit naïve, he tries his best, but is still easily tricked by those with far less scruples than him. His harmonious tribal life never taught him to be distrustful, or even skeptical.A skilled artist, he's found that it is quite possible to make a living among the wealthy of the city-states by flattering them with portraits. However, patrons are few and far between, so he's also trying to parlay those skills into becoming an equally successful pictomancer. Bounty work never seems to be lacking, after all.Again, he has a lot to learn, but he's nothing if not eager.
Phos and Xerin are twins who, for lack of a better word, are Jariq'a Odora's apprentices. Xerin moreso than his brother Phos. Jariq'a teaches Xerin what he knows of magical healing while teaching Phos what he knows of music. The brothers could fairly be called opposites of one another, with Xerin coming off far more serious and greatly valuing his time, as opposed to Phos, who prefers to live a more laid back life. Despite their differences, they both care for each other. However difficult it might be to get Xerin to admit it.
V'laari values two things. Strength and loyalty. You must prove one or the other for him to consider you worthy of his tribe or his time, and if you manage to prove both? You will always be welcome among his people, perhaps even given a place of honor. Should you fail to prove either? He will remove you from his territory himself, in the best case scenario. V'laari did not become Nunh on accident, nor has me maintained his tribe by slacking on it's preservation. Underestimate the man at your own peril, for his entire tribe will rise to defend him should he somehow be found lacking - which he utterly refuses to allow.
Sylas has lived most of his life bouncing from place to place as a refugee, ultimately ending up outside the gates of Ul'dah like many others. Along the way he developed a sort of protective instinct. The desire to defend the weak and downtrodden.Despite life being as tough for him as it was, and the many people that neglected to help along the way, he's never grown cynical and still sees good in others. However, the poor boy still had to make a living somehow and took to work as a gladiator for some time. He barely scraped by as one, but at the very least learned to hold a sword and shield well enough to defend himself.Sylas is just as excitable as he looks. As a brand new adventurer he has a lot to learn, but seems to be picking up his skills fairly quickly. He's protective of his friends and loyal in the extreme, often to his own detriment, using his own body as a shield when no other options remain. His infinite capacity to see the best in others often blinds him to red flags as well, leaving him unaware or unwilling to confront the malicious actions of cleverer people. The lad may have a bright future as an adventurer ahead of him. Provided he actually lives long enough to see it.
Nao Naeuri has never been one to value loyalty. In any sense. He's something of a drifter, coming and going wherever the wind - and the jobs - lead. Primarily given to bounty work, he will still take just about any job if it pays well enough and won't put him in so much danger that he doesn't expect to return. No sense in earing money you'll never spend.During the day he's often seen philandering around in his free time. A womanizer in all respects - save for when his eyes turn to the men on other nights. Nao doesn't seem to be bothered by all the people he's bedded over the many years. If they grow too attached, or misunderstand his motives, that's their own fault.
Ukyo lives only for himself, a point he's extremely fond of making. He takes what he wants, when he wants, and doesn't think twice. Every second is spent chasing only what he finds the most entertaining at the moment, be it combat, gambling, sex, anything. The man has been kicked out of Kugane too many times to count, yet always seems to find his way back in when he wants to. Much to the annoyance of the SekiseigumiGiven his appearance and attitude, one could be easily forgiven for not knowing that his hometown is Sui-no-Sato, and his mother and father staunch traditionalists - for it is something he would rather forget himself. Ukyo found the lifestyle far, far too boring and stifling and has thus resolved to let his bloodline end with him; for no other reason than to spite his parents.
Felix eir Ovidia and Jovius quo Ovidia.Felix, the younger brother, is professional in all respects. An intelligent and empathetic diplomat, he spends his time constantly working to rebuild Garlemald and reshape the former empire's relationships with other nations. Hard on himself and always busy, Felix rarely finds time to relax, especially when his brother - his only living family - is constantly out there putting himself in harms way. Still, he never loses face in that regard, always projecting the idea that he has never been bothered by his brother's recklessness.Jovius on the other hand rarely takes formalities so seriously. He fancies himself a thrill seeker. Now that the empire is fallen and the armies decimated, he roams free, seeking powerful threats to slay. He's quite aware that his younger brother is both constantly worrying about him and constantly working himself to death, so he frequently stops by to force him to take a break, as well as to check in and ensure the other that he's safe.
